In this case it was the artist who was framing the piece and she knew immediately that this Gianni frame by Roma, Italy’s premier moulding maker, was the perfect compliment for her small but beautiful original oil painting. Gianni frames are inspired by the glorious works of treasured Italian artisans. Each piece is hand finished to achieve a time-endured elegance. The antiquing process is done by masters using the traditions of Florentine craftsmen. The colorants are hand applied in multiple stages and a soft beeswax finish is applied to preserve the wood but allow it to darken over time, giving it the appearance of naturally aged woods.
